Review: Topco Grrltoyz- The Buster

The Buster by Topco is a harness compatible silicone dildo that is ideal for those that either do not care for huge toys or are a bit shallow and do not like their cervix bumped. Buster is 5 1/4″ long from the tip to where the base and the shaft meet (6 1/2″ long if you include the 3 1/2″ wide base) and has a circumference of 5 1/2″ at the base tapering to 4 3/4″ just under the glans. The shaft curves gently upwards to aid in g-spot or p-spot stimulation and sports a rather pronounced raphe on the underside of the cock. Buster is a gender neutral lilac and the finish is somewhat matte though not as much as, say, a LELO toy and therefore does not have as much drag when non-lubricated. When lubed, the matte texture is unapparent with one exception- it’s not a race to insertion to prevent dribbles and drips of lube as it can be with smooth finished toys. One important thing to remember is, since this toy is made of silicone, only water-based lube should be used- silicone and silicone-based lubes do not play well together and your toy could be destroyed if you mix the two! One final note on the appearance of this toy- on the head there is a raised circle that looks like a mark from the mold where it was held in place and I am concerned about this harboring bacteria if it is not thoroughly cleaned. This may be just the one I received but it’s worth mentioning in case that happens to not be the situation (I tried to get a picture of it but could not for the life of me get it to photograph clearly.)

See that huge suction base? That is one of the best features of the Buster. This suction cup STICKS. It sticks to tabletops, door frames, tub floors, shower walls, counter tops- anything with a glossy or semi-glossy finish. And it hangs on tight- no sliding or sudden releasing mid- ride out of this dildo. It is wide enough to give me something to hang on to when thrusting during solo play but is flexible enough that when i close my legs it does not dig into my thighs.  This wonderful base is also wide enough and has enough of a curve that, when I held my Hitachi to it, set the whole toy vibrating without my having to fight to hold the vibrator in place to keep it from dancing all over the bottom. I don’t know what Topco has done differently but Buster transmits vibrations better than any dildo I own, silicone or otherwise.

The only complaints I have about this toy are the aforementioned flaw- I think that is sloppy, the color ( I have an aversion to lavender toys) and the fact that, though it is harness compatible, it’s a bit too short for what I prefer for a strap on cock. It is rather simplistic in design but that can be a good thing- it’s a great introduction toy for someone that is a bit nervous about sex toys. And that suction cup? A-fucking-mazing.
